Today is Good Friday and it really IS a good friday =) I was so excited to go to our ultrasound today. I woke up at 3:30 this morning! Took a while to go back to sleep then woke up again at 5:30am but it was still too early… then finally got up about 6:30 to start getting ready. We left about 7ish since our appointment was at Ala Moana at 8:20am. We got there early so Steph visited his coworkers that he hasn’t seen long time who he used to pick up from. Then went up for the ultrasound. The first 4d pic they took looks like my dad a lot. Baby was moving around a lot and kept having his hands cover his face. The lady said she couldn’t get it more clear than it is since he’s close to the placenta. This ultrasound was such an exciting moment for us. It’s so cool to kind of see a better picture of what baby looks like. I was worried about baby not being a good size since they started off as twins first but she said baby’s size is normal and looks good =)
My favorite part of the ultrasound was seeing baby sucking his thumb. I couldn’t help but laugh. We got a 2d shot of it and she was going to try to get a 4d shot but by the time she switched probes, baby stopped already. Another favorite part of the experience was finding out the sex. There on the screen we saw a his weiner just sticking out there and she was like its a boy! I asked her whats the %rate on accuracy and she looked again and since its sticking out so much she said ‘i’m pretty sure its a boy” horray! I was getting all teary eyed. Actually i did tear. Knowing the sex and seeing pics of him makes me feel just that much more attached to him and makes me love him even more. I really thought baby was going to be a girl, actually everyone thought baby was going to be a girl so it was such a happy surprise baby is a boy =)! I got my wish and I couldn’t be any happier! Steph is super excited too. He wanted a boy as well. Either way would have been good but we both preferred a boy! Thank god! I already feel like he looks like my dad. My due date is august 30th and my dads birthday and his moms bday is august 28th. It would be so cool if I give birth on that day too. Amazing! I’m gonna have a son =)
